top 10 sheldon/penny episodes | the spaghetti catalyst

“I’m glad we’re still friends.”
“Really?”
“Oh, yes. It was a lot of work to accomodate you in my life, I’d hate for that effort to have been in vain.”

This whole episode was amazing. It shows even though she isn’t a scientist or even as remotely intelligent as him that he STILL wants her around him. The question is why? I mean they always show them bicker and try to imply they are a constant pain in each others asses, but there must be a reason he wants her around. And I do think it’s because he has very strong feelings for her. Whether you look at their relationship as a possible romance or just platonic you can’t deny there is something “more” between there scenes that they just don’t have with other characters. Look back to that one episode with the scene when Sheldon is trying to befriend Kripke. He kicks Raj out of the group over Penny, but doesn’t give an explanation as to why he does it.  And Penny even says before he makes the decision “I get where this is going. I’m not a scientist…” the assumption that Sheldon would kick Penny out of his circle of friends because he seems to prefer being around his fellow scientists than someone like her. Then Sheldon goes “Penny, what your saying is perfectly true…Raj your out.” Then just goes back to eating like nothing happened. It’s like WHAT? What?! Don’t get me wrong I found it cute he picked Penny, but Raj is suppose to be someone he’s been friends with for years before Penny and yet he choses her over him. And they don’t even give an explanation! How can you not expect people to ship them?! We’re obviously going to fill in the blanks here. And the logical assumption is that he cares for Penny and holds her in a very special place in his life. Seriously, why are the writers shocked that we ship it. It ships itself, bitches. End rant.
